To The Moon and Back is a charming, silly, all-ages circus show with a handmade set and a creative, problem solving adventure story.
This is a FREE indoor event at the Tompkins County Public Library.

Opening Night Party
Join us for the Opening Night Party at the Ithaca History Center! Cider (both boozy and sober) on tap. Performances by Rik Daniels and Jared Athias outside in the Bernie Milton Pavillion from 6:30-7pm. Come see circus friends old and new!

ATELOPUS (Wall Dancers)
ATELOPUS is a vertical dance and projection performance inspired by Ecuador’s endangered harlequin frogs, whose disappearance signals the collapse of ecosystems. As two frogs lose their habitat and transform into humans, the work becomes an urgent reflection on water, environmental destruction and the rights of nature.
This is a FREE outdoor show in Press Bay Court.
Egg, and How I Learned To Save Myself
Reckon with your past, swing by your hair into the future, and ponder the humble egg in this alluring story about self acceptance.
Suggested age 14+.

A high flying family friendly nautical adventure set on a flying trapeze! Shipwrecked and lost in the middle of the ocean, a lone sailor encounters a rag-tag crew of high-flying, rope-climbing, acrobatic pirates.
This is a FREE outdoor show on the Ithaca Waldorf School grounds.
A Place in the Ring, Circus Documentary (with Talk back)
In this 90 minute Danish film, Katja Schumann, the world-famous circus artist and horse trainer, struggles to translate her old world into a new era. Can she pass on her way of life without losing herself? The film depicts a journey between tradition, doubt and trust.
Language is primarily Danish with UK subtitles.

International Lover
Through trapeze, burlesque, and physical theatre, the artist abstracts their gender odyssey, inviting the audience into their process of self-expansion.

Natural Causes
Company 29’s debut creation “Natural Causes” takes you on a dark and whimsical journey through the lens of circus, physical theatre, comedy, and live music.
With opening acts by youth circus artists from around the US.

Rollercoaster by Wes Peden
Ultra-modern pop-punk juggling surrounded by a huge inflatable blue structure and accompanied by electro beats composed of distorted rollercoaster sounds.

Sticks & Stone
Combining aerial counterweight, puppetry, dance, atmospheric projection, and martial arts, the old proverb of sticks and stones illuminates a new question: who is the body you also are?
Suggested age 14+. This show contains themes of body dysphoria, patriarchal gender roles, and partial nudity (topless).
Fun Contemporary Ball Juggling Workshop (Wes Peden)
In this workshop, Wes will guide you through his unique ball juggling techniques. The workshop is a playful and uplifting environment designed to experiment together and find new joyful ways of tangling gravity, time, and objects.
Prerequisites: Participants should be able to juggle 5 balls and comfortably perform 3-ball patterns such as 531, 423, and 441.

Creative Group Acrobatics Workshop
This workshop teaches you a variety of different group acrobatic styles featuring Toss, Towers and Trio Tumbling. This is an advanced circus workshop hoping to push past the basics into more complicated movement pathways and surprising acrobatic outcomes!

ECDYSIS
Troy Lingelbach has saved every piece of single use plastic they have consumed over the past two years under their bed. Now, they have created a plastic playground in the woods repurposing this plastic. This immersive experience is part installation, part performance art, part dance party in the woods, filled with opportunities to connect deeply with nature, community, and self.
Gathering begins at 6:00pm. Show starts 7:15pm. More details to come.
Suggested age 18+. This show contains themes and references to drug use and may contain flashing lights.

(WORKSHOP) Contact Improv and Partnerwork with People Watching Collective
This workshop is focused on finding freedom within a structure.
We will share counterweight vocabulary, weight-transfer techniques to lift them, and tools for exploring contact points with your partner.
The idea is to create a common language in order to expand the possibilities within contact dance and improvisation.

"I Think It Could Work" is a contemporary circus show.. Utilizing elements of acrobatics, theatre, and classic games, this show is an experiment in what happens when our lives are decided by chance and our fates are left for the audience to decide.

Black Joy: An Ancestral Offering
Black Joy is a multi-disciplinary journey through Blackness.
This piece is a duet combining mask work, dance, theatre, poetry, immersive, acrobats, stilt walking, and aerial work in celebration of black lives in ancestry, future generations, and those walking the earth at this time.

(WORKSHOP) Acrobatics and Acro Dance Flow with People Watching Collective
The goal of this workshop is to seamlessly move through the acrobatics. We will begin by teaching the mechanics of the acrobatic movements, allowing the students to familiarize themselves with the floor, the space and their relationship to it.
DUSK / NIGHT / DAWN
DUSK / NIGHT / DAWN is an experimental aerial pole dance work created by Donna Carnow and Gina Alm. Combining aerial acrobatics, visual composition, and [pole] dance, they aim to share human experiences through super-human movement.

A Circus Journey" (Chile-Ecuador) is a captivating 30-minute solo performance suitable for all ages, presented as a ritual to honor nature and its elements.
Katherine Marino’s "Truth and Beauty is a one-woman clown spectacle that blends absurdity, existential themes, and misguided genius. Expect a journey through art and truth, with a possible cake and a guaranteed banana.

Coffee and Waterfall Walk
Botanist Coffee Shop (meeting spot)
Join in community to visit Ithaca Falls, one of the over 100 waterfalls in our area, and grab a coffee before or after.
Meet at the local Botanist Coffee shop at 10am and will walk together to Ithaca Falls a few blocks away. The waterfall is spectacular and viewable from the sidewalk, or you can take a 5 minute short hike to see it up close.

This 2 hour workshop is focused on finding freedom within a structure. We will share counterweight vocabulary, weight-transfer techniques to lift them, and tools for exploring contact points with your partner. Please note that this workshop requires proximity & close contact between bodies.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Dance & acrobatic experience / formal training. Must be comfortable moving your body, rolling on the floor etc.

Brave Space is a blanket fort, a hoopskirt, an impulsive congregation in the tiniest of tents. Inspired by the idea of creating community in trying times, it begins as a puddle of fabric and grows to encompass a world of wondrous circus.

Join in community to hang out at The Watershed, a local favorite among the circus community here in Ithaca that is right around the corner from Circus Culture and the Press Bay Backlot. The bar is focused on responsible alcohol service, conversational atmosphere, and sustainability - plus they have a great mocktail menu, coffee, tea, and free books! Basically, we love it there and hope you will too.
